CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to manage the Phase I – Facility Disposition project in August 2011. The West Valley Demonstration Project is located in western New York State, just south of Buffalo New York on approximately 3,300 acres.

Our mission is to complete the scope of work, safely, compliantly, and cost-effectively while protecting the best interests of our workforce, the community and the environment.

The scope of work for the CHBWV Team is to complete four major milestones:

·         Milestone 1: Complete the High-Level Waste (HLW) Canister Relocation

·         Milestone 2: Process, ship and dispose of all Legacy Waste off-site

·         Milestone 3: Demolition and removal of the Main Plant Process Building (MPPB) and the Vitrification Facility

·         Milestone 4: Facility disposition of the remaining Balance of Site Facilities (BOSF), Site operations, maintenance, and utilities
